Assassin's Creed Introduces Bizarre Attack on Titan Collaboration for Holiday Season
In a bizarre collaboration that defies traditional forecasts, the game developer has unveiled an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Adventure Revealed
According to the authorized release, "A mysterious confrontation leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where hints of forbidden practices and monstrous transformations echo through the obscurity." The plot introduces a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a clandestine cult.
The mission focuses on "peculiar tests and a fearsome adversary" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Settings and Transformations
The teaser highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser ends with a powerful scene showing a character, presumably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Items and Extra Features
Players who finish the adventure will acquire an exclusive katana in addition to numerous artifacts concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
